Paula Coyne
Paula Coyne believes that yoga is an ideal place to learn about the body, mind, and spirit that each human is blessed with. Through observing the shift in her own yoga practice of over 10 years, she has seen how yoga naturally flows between the physical, the mental, and the spiritual realms. She began experiencing the connectedness between all of these aspects of herself when she started practicing Hot Hatha yoga shortly after moving from Portland to Vail, CO in 2007. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains and being so close to nature every day enhanced the yoga, helping her connect with her practice in a way she hadn’t experienced before. The ‘ah-ha!’ moments she experienced on and off the mat during her time in Colorado shaped the direction of her life from then on. Paula completed a 200-hour teacher training program focused on the Hot Hatha (based on the Bikram tradition) series in May 2009 and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. During the time she has been teaching yoga, Paula has developed a passion for working with people healing from injuries, as well as working with students to prevent injury. Yoga can be a wonderful tool for healing and stress reduction, something that is vital for people of all shapes, sizes, and ages. She believes that being kind to your body and paying close attention to alignment is not only necessary to prevent injury, but also the key to progressing and finding more depth in your yoga practice.
